Trauma, PTSD & Grief
Trauma, PTSD & Grief
Trauma may relate to a single incident or refer to situations where the client was subjected to prolonged trauma through bullying domestic violence, child abuse or military combat exposure, grief and most recently, highlighting the experiences of frontline staff who have treated patients and those who have lost loved ones through the distressing time of the global Covid-19 pandemic.
We would recommend that anyone who has suffered trauma to firstly seek advice from their GP. Clients may be referred to have initial counselling services or may also choose to self-refer for counselling services where the service is available. Clients would be encouraged to discuss with the counsellor on their suitability to undergo counselling and solution focused hypnotherapy treatment modalities at the same time or stagger their timing.
